Resum
Should Scholars seriously consider engaging in Team Teaching? We find strong support for engaging in Team Teaching. This technique has potential benefits for multiple stakeholders since it improves the learning process and enhances the perception of quality of participants, helps in identifying joint research opportunities for faculty, helps to reduce redundancies in academic programs and increases faculty collegiality. We also find three fundamental issues that have to be managed properly for achieving the potential benefits of team teaching: content and process complementarity, division of roles and positioning in the classroom, and selecting the right partner.
