Resum
The behavior of microstrip patch antenna was examined on the basis of bow-tie fractal geometry. The high directivity features of the Sierpinski bow-tie patch antenna was explained at higher frequencies as a function of the fractal iterations. Enhanced performance was observed in terms of size, gain or multifrequency behavior. The fractal iteration enabled the appearance of a fracton mode resulting in high directivity and low sidelobes, keeping a small electrical size.
