Resum
The following section offers a survey of the latest concepts and thinking around social innovation developed by a selection of leading opinion-makers from academic centres and social innovation hubs around the world. We have organised this information around our five chosen variables, for each of which we present a selection of the most widely accepted concepts, models and frameworks and highlight some of the key authors and advocates of these models, as well as illustrate some practical examples of social innovation. We do not aspire to present an exhaustive literature review, but simply draw to out some useful definitions and frameworks for those interested in gaining a deeper understanding of how social innovation really works.
