Resum

In the following article, the author analyzes the new proposed regulation for payment orders which is planned to become effective in January 2006. Faced with the object of harmonizing the different procedures for payment orders existing in the different member countries (as had been suggested by certain experts of comparative procedural law, the author of this work being among those experts) the European Union legislature is leaning towards a regulation of uniform payment procedure for all the member countries of the European Union to coexist with the different payment order procedures of each member country. The study which follows presents a practical point of view from the distinct vantage point of comparative law.
