Resum

Nursing has an important role in vaccination because the nurse assesses the patients on possible indications and contraindications of vaccines before their administration. One of these contraindications is when the person has an anaphylactic reaction to any vaccine component, latex in this case. This component can be found in syringes, plungers and vial stoppers. It's necessary to know the actuation procedure when a person has this type of allergy and needs to be vaccinated in Primary Care.
To do so, it's necessary to know if the vaccine contains latex. In case the latex-free vaccine is not available in the Health Care Center, a specific procedure algorithm should be developed in order to know how to perform the vacunal act in safe conditions without latex-free material. The development of a nursing care plan will allow a better approach of the case.
