Existng literature on educaton and technology has frequently highlighted the usefulness of online discussion forums for distance courses; however, the majority of such investgatons have focused their atenton only on text-based forums. The objectve of this paper is to determine if the embedding of streamed videos in online discussion forums generates educatonal dialogue and consequently the feedback that students need in a Management Accountng Course. The fndings suggest some interestng issues, such as: students prefer text answers except in complex questons, and videos never replace text commentaries and explanatons, but rather complement them.
