N2 - It can be said that nurses have not always used a judicious, conscious and explicit system to apply care or make clinical decisions, based on the most reliable and up-to-date scientific knowledge. Considering the current moment of the Nursing Now campaign, this document intends to reflect on the reasons why EBE is not a substantial element of the design of nursing care plans. Similarly, it suggests recommendations on how to improve and implement its systematic use in healthcare practice.
