Even the contemporary reality of "people" and "organizations" are in the process of transformation as the development and applications of artificial intelligence progress exponentially. This poses unprecedented challenges for HRM as well as for management in general. Increasing efficiency is still needed, but focusing solely on efficiency is not enough. This is why human resource management, as a profession, has evolved to assume a more-strategic role.
