La strategia di investimento dei fondi di venture philanthropy

In the last decade the concept of venture philanthropy have developed, first in the USA and later in Europe. This is an innovative concept that helps in the financing of social enteprises (SE). This model of financing takes some of the key concepts of venture capital financing, such as the selection and the management of portfolio companies, a model that has helped to many startups to succeed. The concept of venture philanthropy tries to maximixe the social impact of the SE and therefore to maximize the return of the investment itself.
Nel corso dell'ultimo decennio la venture philanthropy si è sviluppata, prima negli Stati Uniti e poi in Europa, come un innovativo modello di finanziamento a disposizione delle Social Enterprises (SE). Adottando le modalità di selezione e gestione degli investimenti proprie del modello del venture capital che ha contribuito al successo di molte imprese soprattutto durante gli anni della new economy, la venture philanthropy cerca di massimizzare l'impatto sociale della SE e, di conseguenza, del rendimento sociale del finanziamento stesso.
