The benefits of FDI are explained at the macro level, the economy as a whole, and at the micro or sectoral level, especially in the case of the integration of industrial SMEs into global supply chains or in the configuration of emerging sectors (e.g. biotechnology, electric vehicles, green hydrogen, quantum computing).
