Resum
This paper is about the future of Human Resources and Human Resources Management in the 3rd Millennium. Many Human Resour-ces scholars claim that Human Resource Management is a profession in transition, given the necessity to demonstrate added value to the organization (e.g., Dolan et al., 2007; Dolan et al, 2008; Schuler & Jackson, 2006). New trends are emerging in the 21st century to reflect the growing pressures on Human Resources to show their added value to the bottom line. Consequently, focus is intensifying on streamlining conventional Human Resources practices; at the same time, new trends are developing. The present paper focuses on selected new trends that have been identified as imperatives for Human Resources contribution to corporate effectiveness in the 21st century.
