Resum
In order to try out a new way of approaching Nietzsche’s philosophy we have
turned to Ortega’s work. This has consisted in exploring his interesting reception of
the German philosopher’s thought. This has led us to review relevant Nietzschean
notions: the will to power, the Dionysian, the eternal return, the criticism of Platonism
and Christianity, the ascending and descending life, danger, authentic life, loneliness,
the criticism of degenerate democracy and resentment. Already in the second part of
the text we have dwelt on some points of dissonance between the two authors. Beyond
the elements of coincidence, we will have to outline the implications of Nietzschean
vitalism and Orteguian ratiovitalism.
