Resum

B2B SMEs are increasingly prioritizing environmental concerns to align with market demands for sustainable practices. The literature highlights the relevance of customer and entrepreneurial orientations in adopting green business strategies. However, there is limited research on the relative importance of these orientations within environments characterized by varying levels of regulatory stringency. Based on a cross-industry sample of 140 B2B SMEs, this study reveals the trade-off between customer orientation (CO) and entrepreneurial orientation (EO) in environments with highly stringent regulatory policies. The findings underscore the critical role of environmental regulation in shaping strategic priorities for B2B SMEs.
