Hearing in Venezuela v Council: Accommodating New Sanction Litigation by Third States

The stakes were very clearly laid out at the hearing held by the Grand Chamber of the General Court on Friday, 3rd March 2023 in the case opposing Venezuela and the Council. The case has reached the merits stage, after the Court of justice’s Grand Chamber declared, on appeal, Venezuela’s action for annulment admissible and remanded it before the General Court.
