This article is structured as follows. Section 2 introduces how environmental standards are dealt with multilaterally in the ILO and in the WTO.
Section 3 looks at the state of the art of the substantive obligations protecting environmental standards in EU´s FTAs. Section 4 assesses the present mechanisms of enforcement of such standards present in most of EU´s.
FTAs. Sections 5 and 6 looks at the recent change of global posture of the.
EU with regard to the enforcement of environmental standards in its FTAs.
Section 7 concludes.
