Resum

This chapter focuses on the technologies that enable one to translate real-world scenarios in the city into a collection of data. Data-driven cities are only possible if they rely on technologies that allow one to monitor what it is happening in the urban space. We need a city ICT infrastructure able to digitalize and transform city problems into streams of digital raw data that can be processed to react and plan consequently.
