El valor moral y social del deporte para los usuarios de los centros deportivos municipales de Barcelona

This article exposes some of the results obtained thanks to a study carried out by the Ethos Chair (Universitat Ramon Llull) and supported by the City Council of Barcelona. This is an investigation aimed at capturing the moral and social dimension of the praxis of the users of the Municipal Sports Centers of Barcelona. In the first instance, our aim was to analyze to what extent these people established a positive relationship between their activity and certain moral values. Secondly, we also focused our attention on how sport contributed to improve or reinforce social relations. Through this report we wanted to introduce empirical elements that allow us to better understand the self-perception of citizens who use this type of sports equipment. Thanks to this knowledge we will be in better conditions to implement improvements that allow socializing the sports activity socially. In short, it is about that the current sports policy continues to promote a sport for all
