El trastorno límite de personalidad en psicoanálisis: la evolución teórica de los orígenes a la mentalización

In this article we present some contributions about the study of Borderline Personality Disorder from the psychodynamic and psychoanalytic perspective. To do this, we follow a thread leading from the first theoretical approaches to the most recent advances, both in diagnosis and in the implications for the therapeutic approach. The genetic-dynamical characteristics of the personalities of these patients and their repercussions at the relational level are analyzed, with important references to Otto Kernberg's structural diagnosis model and Peter Fonagy's theory of mentalization.
