Resum

The book chapter deals with the evolution of collective bargaining and trade unions' activities in the digitalized work environment. After a fist discussion of data describing the impact of digitalization on the contents of collective agreements and on workers' related requests, the analysis is focused on the most interesting and innovative strategies experimented by trade unions. In this field, a specific analysis is carried out with reference to the implementation of certified employers rating systems, finalized to rate the working conditions in bigger and multi-national companies. Furthermore, an insight is dedicated also to the role and to the impact of confrontation platforms, introduced by some trade unions like the Italian CGIL, to conduct the debate between trade unions officers, experts and, in the next future, workers and employees. The final section is dedicated to an overview on examples of collective bargaining for digitalized workers, including the Bologna Charter, a form of three-way collective agreement - involving trade unions, employers and local institutions - to improve working conditions of riders operating in the food-delivery sector.
