Resum
A rising number of global corporations have started initiatives to develop responsible global leaders through international service learning programs (ISLP). These programs aim to develop personal skills, intercultural competence and leadership qualities through social engagement in developing countries. The chapter provides an overview of outcomes and benefits of ISLP for participants, companies and local partners and their communities. It also provides insights into best practices of ISLP relevant to both academics and practitioners, including potential participants and human resource/corporate social responsibility practitioners. The chapter closes by outlining ideas for further research and providing a summary of the relevance of ISLP for educators and practitioners.
