N2 - By using selected ion monitoring determination of β-hydroxy fatty acids could be easily achieved. These compounds were found as minor components in the acid fraction of lipid extracts. The method developed in the present investigation allowed quantification of 16 hydroxy acids in soils treated with sewage sludge. Also, studies were conducted to determine the accumulative effect of these compounds in soils treated with different doses of sludge.
