N2 - Improvements in the social conception of intellectual disability have led to new models of intervention and training, surpassing the healthcare paradigms. The perspective of promoting the fundamental rights of people implies considering an ethical dimension that goes far beyond the application of technical resources and strategies. 382 professionals who look after disabled persons have participated in the research and they have answered the questionnaire "Ethical conflicts and ways of management in socio-educational action". The study presents the main types of ethical conflict and the ways of management that the professionals carry out. It also analyzes the relationships between types of conflict and ways of management through factor analysis, as well as the correlations between conflicts and the training in social education, social work, psychology and social integration. The study provides information on how to improve a team for a more effective professional practice and better quality in the care of people. The results show that when support materials and spaces for ethical deliberation are used, the frequency of conflict decreases. On the other hand, when management is personal and subjective, there are conflicts more often. On the other hand, professionals with sources of conflict between professional teams show more training needs.
