Resum
Diagnosis and treatment of candidosis in critically ill patients admitted to intensive care units (ICU) is difficult as differences between contamination and infection are not clear cut. Because disseminated candidosis in ICU carries a high mortality rate (50-80%), it is very important to detect the potential patients with candidal infection. For this reason we made a prospective study in order to diagnose and to treat this infection in an early stage, which results show the importance of detecting candidosis before candidemia.
