Finally, he repeated that "The USA is not and never will be at war with Islam" and called for Muslims to become more involved in the fight against terrorism. The USA cannot beat Al Qaeda and its allies on its own. Jakarta wishes to reinforce its strategic military alliance with the USA. It does not wish to be at the mercy of China, either from an economic or military standpoint.
