Author Response: Effects of Achieving Rapid, Intensive, and Sustained Blood Pressure Reduction in Intracerebral Hemorrhage Expansion and Functional Outcome

We thank Jhaveri et al. for their comments regarding our recent publication.¹ In our study, we observed a trend toward lower baseline diastolic blood pressure (DBP) in patients experiencing hematoma expansion.¹ Although a similar counterintuitive finding was observed in a previous study in which a lower 24-hour minimum DBP was linked to higher hematoma expansion rates, this possible link has not been observed when adjusting the analysis by other factors.².
