title = "An Explanation of Elderly Tourist Decisions on Travelling to Risky Destinations",
abstract = "Drawing on Sosioemotional Selectivity Theory, this paper conceptually discusses how higher level of emotional well-being can lead older tourists to visit risky destinations. Studies have shown that older adults usually experience more positive moods, moreover there is a greater possibility for people in a positive mood to take risk. Consequently, one can conclude that older tourists are more likely to underestimate the level of risk attributed to a specific destination.",
