Adopción internacional: un estudio con el test proyectivo Pata Negra

In Spain, and especially Catalonia, the first decade of the twentyfirst century has been marked by an exceptional increase in international
adoptions, thus setting a new model of family and a new social reality.
From the perspective of mental health began as a post-adoptive stage in
great need of theoretical and empirical research.
The goals of this study are: 1) know the impact it has on emotional
development, the fact of being an adopted child; 2) to see how Projective Methods (Corman’s Patte Noire Test, 1961), allow access to internal
world of the adopted child.
The study was conducted with a sample of 10 children (5 girls and 5
boys) aged between 6 and 12, belonging to the group of children for international adoption in Spain (the country of origin: Nepal). The inclusion
criteria for children over age and country mentioned above is to make
more than two years that has made the adoption. Inclusion criteria for
families to have no biological children, that is, only have adopted children.
The results show that the affective variables associated hinder the
adoption of emotional development. But as in other areas, the adopted
child may need more time and specific supports to complete their evolution. On the other hand, it is clear that these projective techniques promo test the knowledge of internal world of the adopted child.
