Resum

A high yield multicomponent reaction providing multifunctionalized pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines with up to four diversity centers in a one-pot microwave-assisted cyclocondensation of α,β-unsaturated esters, amidine systems and malononitrile (or ethyl cyanoacetate) is described.
