Detalls del projecte
Description
This research project aims to analyze and elaborate on the results of a 2024 survey conducted in Spain, Italy, and Slovakia. The survey, which gathered data from 1,000 residents in each country (aged 18 to 74), focused on their information consumption habits and their levels of trust in information. This data was produced within the context of the Blanquerna Digilab Research Group's "Media Councils in the Digital Age 4" project, which was funded by the European Commission.
The purpose of this research is to produce a solid scientific analysis of why people in these three countries distrust traditional news outlets and instead turn their trust to content creators on social media. Initial data suggests that this distrust is part of a broader skepticism toward institutions and organizations. The results of this analysis will be submitted to relevant academic journals for publication.
